Casting Announced for National Tour of Tony-Winning Kinky Boots

Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig, lead producers of Kinky Boots, the Tony-winning musical by four-time Tony winner Harvey Fierstein and Grammy and Tony winner Cyndi Lauper, have announced casting for the upcoming first national tour of the hit musical, which launches in Las Vegas Sept. 4-14.

Kyle Taylor Parker, one of the Angels in the original Broadway company of Kinky Boots, will head the cast as Lola with Steven Booth as shoe-factory owner Charlie Price.

Parker and Booth will be joined by Lindsay Nicole Chambers as Lauren, Joe Coots as Don, Craig Waletzko as George and Grace Stockdale as Nicola.

Other casting includes Darius Harper, Ricky Schroeder, Juan Torres-Falcon, Hernando Umana, Damien Brett, Stephen Carrasco, Lauren Chapman, Amelia Cormack, J. Harrison Ghee, Blair Goldberg, Crystal Kellogg, Ross Lekites, Patty Lohr, Mike Longo, David McDonald, Bonnie Milligan, Horace Rogers, Anne Tolpegin and Sam Zeller. Additional casting will be announced soon.



Following Las Vegas, the musical will play West Coast stops in Tempe, San Diego, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Costa Mesa before heading east in 2015. The full tour route can be found at www.kinkybootsthemusical.com.

Directed and choreographed by Tony winner Jerry Mitchell, Kinky Boots opened on Broadway April 4, 2013, and continues to play to standing-room-only crowds. The show recouped its costs in October 2013, after 30 weeks on Broadway.

The musical took home six 2013 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score (Cyndi Lauper), Best Choreography (Jerry Mitchell), Best Orchestrations (Stephen Oremus) and Best Sound Design (John Shivers).
