The event, billed as an "evening of journalism presented as radio drama," featured 21 Chump Street by Miranda (In the Heights, Bring It On), in which he performed alongside Lindsay Mendez and Anthony Ramos Martinez.
The production was directed by Michael Mayer (American Idiot, Spring Awakening, Hedwig and the Angry Inch) and featured set design by Christine Jones (Queen of the Night, American Idiot, Spring Awakening), costumes by Andrea Lauer, lighting design by Mark Barton and sound design by Nevin Steinberg.
This American Life also featured stories by comedian Mike Birbiglia ("Sleepwalk With Me") and Sasheer Zamata ("Saturday Night Live"), dance from The Monica Bill Barnes Dance Company and songs from Stephin Merritt (The Magnetic Fields).
Also included is writer Joshuah Bearman's original radio drama, directed by Terry Kinney and starring Josh Hamilton and James Ransone.
