Five-time Emmy Award winner Kelsey Grammer, who last appeared on Broadway in the Tony-winning revival of La Cage aux Folles, plans to return to the stage next year in a new musical, according to the LA Times.
Known for his work in the long-running sitcom "Frasier," Grammer's current screen projects include "Transformers: Age of Extinction," "The Expendables 3" and the FX series "Partners."
While he did not reveal the title of his forthcoming stage project, Grammer told the LA Times, "The next thing for me is a musical. I don't know if it's appropriate to talk about it yet. It's something Harvey Weinstein is doing that'd be next year."
Among Weinstein's upcoming projects is the musical adaptation of Finding Neverland, which will premiere this summer at the American Repertory Theater. A Broadway run is anticipated.
Grammer has also appeared on Broadway in Macbeth and Othello. He starred in a 1999 concert presentation of Sweeney Todd opposite Christine Baranski.
