Jayne Houdyshell, Jonathan Hadary and E. Faye Butler Will Highlight Arena Stage's 2014-15 Season

Washington D.C.'s Arena Stage has announced additional casting for its upcoming season.

The season will kick off this fall with Morris Panych’s world-premiere comedy The Shoplifters starring Tony Award nominee Jayne Houdyshell (Romeo and Juliet, Follies) in the role of Alma. The production begins performances Sept. 5 and continues through Oct. 19.

Tony nominee Jonathan Hadary (All Shook Up, The Best Man) will be seen as Tevye in the classic musical Fiddler on the Roof. Helmed by artistic director Molly Smith, performances begin Oct. 31 and continue through Jan. 4, 2015.

E. Faye Butler will star as Ruby in August Wilson's King Hedley II. Directed by Timothy Douglas, the acclaimed drama runs Feb. 6-March 8.

Katori Hall’s world-premiere comedy-drama The Blood Quilt will be directed by Kamilah Forbes. Performances begin April 24 and continue through June 7.

Additional casting and creative team updates for the 2014-15 Arena Stage season will be announced at a later date.
