Justin Guarini, Adam Chanler-Berat and Barrett Foa Will Stand Up for Freedom

Actors Adam Chanler-Berat, Justin Guarini, Zach Unger and Barrett Foa are among the latest to join the annual benefit concert Broadway Stands Up for Freedom, which will take place July 21 at the Skirball Center.

Susan Blackwell ([title of show], Volleygirls) will return to host the 7:30 PM concert, which has musical direction by Paul Staroba. Daniel Goldstein (Godspell) again directs.

The evening will feature previously announced Tony winner Lena Hall (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Tony nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger (The Glass Menagerie), Telly Leung (Godspell, "Glee"), Tony nominee Condola Rashad (Stick Fly), Tony nominee Robin De Jesus (La Cage), Seth Rudetsky, Liana Stampur and the Clinton Curtis band.

The evening will also include a video from Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Newsies) and new music by Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson composer Michael Friedman.



All proceeds benefit the NYCLU's youth programming, including work for LGBT teenagers; the Teen Health Initiative, which educates teenagers on their rights to access health care in New York City; and its work to stop overly aggressive policing and military recruiting in the city’s public schools.
