Perfect/Change Couple, Roderick & Quackenbush, To Wed June 7

07 Jun 1999

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change will celebrate the first wedding of its own cast members when the Off-Broadway company's swings, Ray Roderick and Karyn Quackenbush, tie the knot June 7.

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change will celebrate the first wedding of its own cast members when the Off-Broadway company's swings, Ray Roderick and Karyn Quackenbush, tie the knot June 7.

Roderick and Quackenbush met before joining the cast, but the decision to marry came with their stint together on Perfect/Change. Roderick's roles have included playing a Protean in the Broadway revival of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and Tom Thumb in Barnum, as well as directing the recent cabarets I Love New York and The Story Goes On, The Music of Maltby and Shire. Quackenbush has appeared in New York in Blood Brothers, The Green Heart, Preppies and Surf City.

Written by Joe DiPietro and Jimmy Roberts and directed by Joel Bishoff, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change is a musical revue about heterosexual singles searching for the elusive perfect coupling. Songs include "Cantata For A First Date," "Tear Jerk," "A Stud And A Babe," "He Called Me," Marriage Tango" and "I Can Live With That."

Perfect/Change has run more than 1,000 performances in its current home at the Westside Theatre. Productions of the popular musical have recently played in Los Angeles, Coral Gables FL, Tel Aviv, Chicago, Kansas City and Detroit. DiPietro also penned the current Off-Broadway comedy, Over The River and Through The Woods.
