Idina Menzel Lets Her Hair Down at 'Joe's Pub,' May 12

Wild Women, Divas and Broads" from the worlds of musical theatre, cabaret and opera have booked into downtown Manhattan's Joe's Pub this May. Among the women to be featured are Daphne Rubin-Vega, Liz Callaway, Idina Menzel and Tonya Pinkins.
Wild Women, Divas and Broads" from the worlds of musical theatre, cabaret and opera have booked into downtown Manhattan's Joe's Pub this May. Among the women to be featured are Daphne Rubin-Vega, Liz Callaway, Idina Menzel and Tonya Pinkins. Idina Menzel, the high-intensity star of Rent and The Wild Party , will play a return engagement May 12 and 19, as well as a recently added date of June 2; her February dates at Joe's Pub sold out. Menzel played the temperamental performance artist, Maureen, in the original production of Rent. Her next New York stage role was in the Andrew Lippa Manhattan Theatre Club musical, The Wild Party. Recently, she appeared in the praised concert production of Hair at City Center Encores! Joe's Pub is located at 425 Lafayette Street (near Astor Place).
