Among the guests at the July 22 opening night performance of Suzan-Lori Parks' Topdog/Underdog were legendary actors Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee and The Seagull castmates Stephen Spinella and Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Directed by George C. Wolfe, Topdog is described as a "darkly comic fable of brotherly love and family identity," a tale of two brothers, one named Lincoln, one named Booth. Their names "foretell a lifetime of sibling rivalry and resentment."
