Sandra Bernhard's Inshallah Returns to Joe's Pub, Jan. 16-25

29 Dec 2001

The dependably outrageous and outspoken comedienne-actress-author singer Sandra Bernhard returns to what has become her favorite New York haunt, the Public Theater club Joe's Pub, Jan. 16-25, 2002. There, she will again present her latest one-person show, Inshallah, an homage to rock and roll which she premiered at the same space last November. She will be accompanied by a band featuring guitar, drums, bass, keys, backing vocal/violin, collectively called The Love Machine.

Bernhard worked Joe's Pub in 1999, and then during the summer of 2000, again backed up by a five-piece combo. Later in 2000, she brought her show The Love Machine to the Jane Street Theatre in Greenwich Village.

The performance artist has starred in such Off-Broadway solo turns as Without You, I'm Nothing and I'm Still Here, Damn It. The former was made into a movie and the latter transferred for a brief Broadway run.

All the shows will be at 10:30 PM. For information, call (212) 539 8770.
