TRIO Broadcasts 2001 Broadway on Broadway Concert, May 20, 22

Last season's Broadway on Broadway concert, which featured performances from Mamma Mia! and The Producers, will be broadcast on the cable television channel TRIO on May 20 and 22.



Last season's Broadway on Broadway concert, which featured performances from Mamma Mia! and The Producers, will be broadcast on the cable television channel TRIO on May 20 and 22.

Hosted by Brooke Shields — who was then appearing as Sally Bowles in the hit revival of Cabaret — the tenth annual Broadway on Broadway concert drew record numbers to Times Square. The TRIO network will air the hour-long special on May 20 at 7 PM and 1 AM and again on May 22 at 2 PM, 10 PM and 2 AM. Among the Broadway stars lending their voice to the annual tourist attraction are Bebe Neuwirth, Howard McGillin, Louise Pitre, Carolee Carmello and Brad Oscar.

Broadway On Broadway is part of TRIO's month-long salute to Broadway, which also includes broadcasts of Fosse, The Syringa Tree, The Car Man, Sweeney Todd, Laurence Olivier's Hamlet and the "Broadway Legends" documentary.
