Fever Tour Ends With DC Run June 11-30; New Tour Begins in November

The national tour of Saturday Night Fever arrives at its final destination, Washington, DC's National Theatre, June 11.

The national tour of Saturday Night Fever arrives at its final destination, Washington, DC's National Theatre, June 11.

The tour of the Broadway musical, which was based on the hit 1977 movie starring John Travolta, officially opens at the DC theatre June 13 and runs through June 30. Its current cast comprises Richard H. Blake as Tony Manero, Jeanine Meyers as Stephanie Mangano, Aileen Quinn (of the "Annie" feature film) as Annette, Jim Ambler as Bobby C, Troy Magino as Joey, Joey Calveri as Double J, Danial Jerod Brown as Gus and Joe Ricci as Monty. A separate, "Bus & Truck, one-night engagement" tour of Fever will begin in November, although casting has not been completed, a spokesperson said. Dates and venues for this tour follow.

With music by The Bee Gees, the original Broadway production of Saturday Night Fever played the Minskoff Theatre Sept. 28, 1999 through Dec. 30, 2000. Adapted for the stage by Nan Knighton, the musical featured direction and choreography by Arlene Phillips and scenic design by Robin Wagner. The original company included James Carpinello as Tony, Orfeh as Annette and Paige Price as Stephanie Mangano.

  • Nov. 27 in North Bay, ONT at the Capitol Center
  • Nov. 29-30 in Springfield, IL at the Sangamon Auditorium
  • Dec. 3-4 in Evansville, IN at The Centre
  • Dec. 5 in Rockford, IL at the Coronado Theatre
  • Dec. 6 in Champaign, IL at the Assembly Hall
  • Dec. 7 in Cedar Rapids, IA at the Paramount Theater
  • Dec. 8 in Rochester, MN at the Midwest Wireless CC
