Nine short plays written by children ages 11 to 17 will be performed on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 7:30 PM at New York's Public Theater.

Entitled Reflections. . . Post 9/11 NYC Through Children's Eyes, the plays were written by young playwrights who were affected by the horrific events of September 11. Conceived by Teresa Jusino, Reflections began with a two-week workshop that was directed by 52nd Street Project's Daniel Judah Sklar and Joe White. Emotions were turned into words, and nine plays emerged out of the workshop, which was produced by Planet Impact and ATKearney.

A benefit for the New York Children's Foundation, the evening of Reflections will feature a host of actors from Broadway and Hollywood, including Robert Sean Leonard and David Straithairn. Tickets are priced at $75 and are available by calling (646) 414-4695.

Robert Sean Leonard received a Tony Award for his work in The Invention of Love. His other Broadway credits include The Music Man, The Iceman Cometh, Arcadia, Candida, The Speed of Darkness, Breaking the Code, Brighton Beach Memoirs and Philadelphia, Here I Come! David Straithairn's screen credits include "Big Girls Don't Cry . . . They Get Even," "Dolores Claiborne," "Losing Isaiah" and "The Giraffe."

The performance will be held on the Public Theater's Newman stage. The Public Theater is located at 425 Lafayette Street at Eighth Street.
