PHOTO CALL: Oklahoma!: New Residents

There are a couple of new residents in Oklahoma! - Stephen Buntrock and Patty Duke.

Buntrock, a veteran of Les Miserables and Titanic, replaced 2002 Tony Award nominee Patrick Wilson in the leading role of Curly Nov. 19, while Duke, star of TV and films, slipped into 2002 Tony Award nominee Andrea Martin's bonnet Dec. 14. Duke plays Aunt Eller.

Oklahoma!, currently playing at the Gershwin Theatre, was nominated for the 2002 Tony Award for Best Revival. The classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, featuring a romance set against Oklahoma Territories battle for statehood even as the cattlemen and farmers fight for supremacy on the land, features the beloved "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning!," "The Surrey With a Fringe on Top," "I Can't Say No," "People Will Say We're in Love" and the title tune.

Oklahoma! will get another new resident soon when 2002 Tony Award winner Shuler Hensley exits the show Jan. 5. Merwin Foard, his understudy, will replace Hensley as Jud Fry.

After originating on the West End, the Trevor Nunn-Susan Stroman Oklahoma! opened on Broadway March 21. Josefina Gabrielle, who played Laurey in London, reprises her role on Broadway.
