Safe, the new play by co-written and directed by Anthony Ruivivar of TV's "Third Watch," has been selling out performances, so an additional nine shows have been added, beginning July 8 at the Jose Quintero Theatre Off-Broadway.

The staging shuts down as planned June 28 and then resurfaces July 8-17. Performances began June 12. Fans of "Third Watch" have flocked to the play, but the future of a longer summer run would seem to be limited by the fact that the actors begin shooting their TV series in July.

The play by Ruivivar and Tony Glazer is set in a bank vault following a botched robbery. The respected Tony Award winning actress Carlin Glynn (The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas) is also in the company.

Imua! Theatre Company in association with Broadsword Productions presents the play. Jason Wiles and Coby Bell of NBC's "Third Watch" are featured, along with Yvonne Jung and Henry Afro-Bradley.

The Imua! Theatre Company was founded in 1994 "to invest, mentor, and support multicultural theatre artists and their work."

Tickets are $30 and available at http://www.imuatheatre.org or by calling (212) 828-2444.

The Jose Quintero Theatre is at 534 W. 42nd Street, between Tenth and Eleventh Avenues.
