"Faint is what I'd call a Midwestern-gothic comedy," playwright-director Eric Sanders told Playbill On-Line. "It's driven by the characters' desires to make their mark in a world where they visit the funeral home more often than the supermarket."
The cast of Faint features Michael Alperin in his New York debut, Devon Berkshire, Elie Finkelstein, Sevrin Anne Mason, Robert Funaro, Ernest Mingione, Jess Osuna, Ron Palais, Joseph Small and 12-year-old Gary Zhuravenko in his theatrical debut.
Sanders wrote and directed four new one-act plays as part of the Directing Corps program at the Williamstown Theatre Festival — Clancy & Yvonna, Relapsing Briefly, Diet, and Dakota.
Tickets to Faint at La Tea Theater, 107 Suffolk St. (between Delancey and Rivington St.) can be purchased by calling (212) 279-4488 or visiting www.fringenyc.org. For more information, visit www.faintplay.com.
