Cook, Goulet, Grammer, Peters, Reynolds and More Featured in Wildlife Foundation Benefit Concert

Stage and screen actress Stefanie Powers will host an all-star concert to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the William Holden Wildlife Foundation.
Entitled Broadway Goes to the Movies, the Nov. 1 concert (7:30 PM) at the Los Angeles International Culture Center Theatre will feature songs from The Great White Way that eventually found their way to the silver screen. Those scheduled to take part in the concert include Ian Abercrombie, Susan Anton, Theodore Bikel, Red Buttons, Carole Cook, Kevin Earley, Robert Goulet, Kelsey Grammer, George Hamilton, Florence Henderson, Earl Holliman, Sally Kellerman, Dale Kristien, Monica Mancini, Rod McKuen, David Naughton, Freda Payne, Brock Peters, Valarie Pettiford, Debbie Reynolds, Rip Taylor, Patrick Wayne, Michael York and Adrian Zmed. Performers will be backed by the 120-piece Jr. Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Ernst Katz.
The evening will also include special tributes from Clint Eastwood, Jacqueline Bisset, Ernest Borgnine, Nancy Olson and Rick Schroder as well as one from Kenya's Ambassador to the United States, Dr. Yusuf Abdulrahman Nzibo. David Galligan directs the benefit concert with musical direction by Gerald Sternbach.
Co-founded by Stefanie Powers and the late William Holden, the William Holden Wildlife Foundation’s Education Center in Kenya has hosted over 70,000 people. Over 10,000 students each year participate in the Education Center’s programs that serve as a backup to specific animal conservation and habitat preservation.
