Following in the footsteps of other pop star women to have their name on the boards in recent years, such as Deborah Gibson (Beauty and the Beast) and Toni Braxton (also in Aida), Williams, whose solo album "Heart to Yours," is available from Music World Music/Columbia Records, makes her Broadway debut with the ever popular Elton John-Tim Rice musical.
Aida has music by Elton John and lyrics Tim Rice, book by Linda Woolverton, Robert Falls and David Henry Hwang, settings and costumes by Bob Crowley, lighting by Natasha Katz, and choreography by Wayne Cilento. It is directed by Tony-winner Robert Falls.
