NYC Mayor Bloomberg to Attend Wonderful Town Dec. 31

If you were the mayor of New York City, what Broadway musical would you want to attend on New Year's Eve? Why, Wonderful Town, of course, in which the town you govern looks pretty darn attractive.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg and his family will attend the Dec. 31 performance of the Leonard Bernstein revival, starring Donna Murphy. The show commences at 7 PM, giving hizzoner ample time to watch the ball drop in Times Square.

Wonderful Town opened at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on Nov. 23. The production, directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall, is the first Broadway revival of the the show in 50 years.
