New Mondays Continues with Maltby and Shire, Krieger and Lippa

The next round of New Mondays — presenting the works of accomplished and up-n-coming composers — has been announced.

Those taking part in the Storefront series include such theatre composers as Baby's Richard Maltby Jr. and David Shire; Side Show's Henry Krieger and Bill Russell; and The Wild Party's Andrew Lippa. The series begins Monday, Feb. 2 and runs through March 1 at New York’s Duplex Cabaret Theatre. Show time is 7 PM.

Past participants in the New Mondays evenings include Susan Birkenhead, Jason Robert Brown, John Bucchino, William Finn, David Friedman, Julie Gold, Carol Hall, Michael John LaChiusa, Jay Leonhart, Andrew Lippa, Galt MacDermott, Dick Scanlan, Stephen Schwartz, Charles Strouse, Tom Jones, John Wallowitch, Frank Wildhorn and David Zippel. The complete line-up for this season's series follows:

Feb. 2: Brian Howell Houghton, Richard Maltby and David Shire, Bill Augustin and Andrew Abrams
Feb. 9: Ritt Henn, Liz Swados, Paul Rolnick
Feb. 16: Christopher Hamblin, Larry O'Keefe, Maria Gentile and Caren Cole
Feb. 23: Claire Cooper, Bill Russell, Rob Hartman
March 1: Joseph Thalken, Andrew Lippa, Steve Marzullo, Henry Krieger

The Duplex Cabaret Theatre is located in the West Village at 61 Christopher Street. There is a $12 cover plus a two-drink minimum. For reservations, call (212) 255-5438.
