PHOTO CALL: The Syndrome Begins as New McNally Work Opens

The Stendhal Syndrome, a new play by Tony-winner Terrence McNally (Love! Valour! Compassion!, Master Class, Ragtime) celebrated its opening night on Feb. 16.

Leonard Foglia directs the world premiere production for Primary Stages, which began performances at the company's new Off-Broadway theatre space (located at its namesake 59 East 59th Street in Manhattan) for a limited engagement through March 27.

At left Nathan Lane, Michael Countryman, Lynn Ahrens, and Donna Murphy wine and dine at Fred's at Barney's (660 Madison Avenue) for the opening night reception. Below, Richard Thomas, Isabella Rossellini, and Yul Vasquez join the festivities.
