Ashley Judd to Miss Feb. 18 Matinee of Cat

Ashley Judd will sit out the Feb. 18 Wednesday matinee of Broadway's Cat on a Hot Tin Roof owing to a foot injury she suffered during the Feb. 17 evening performance. She is expected to perform at the Wednesday evening performance.

Judd's injury caused her to miss the third act of Tuesday's show.

The Music Box Theatre revival of the classic will sit on its haunches until March 14. The limited run was to have closed on Feb. 22.

Heading the cast are Judd, as the frustrated, beautiful and determined Maggie the Cat; Jason Patric as her willfully alcoholic, unresponsive husband Brick; and Ned Beatty as the blustery and blunt redneck millionaire Big Daddy. The production also stars Margo Martindale as the cowed, but loving Big Mama; Michael Mastro as Brick's neglected brother, Gooper; and Amy Hohn as Gooper's baby-making, grasping wife Mae.

Previews began Oct. 9, under the direction of Anthony Page. Bill Kenwright produces the limited engagement.
