Mary Stuart Masterson

Mary Stuart Masterson, who received a Tony nomination for her performance as Luisa Contini in the recent revival of Nine, has been cast in the upcoming Kennedy Center mounting of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

The Washington Post reports that Masterson will portray Maggie the Cat in the Kennedy Center's production of the Tennessee Williams classic, which will play the Eisenhower Theatre June 1-20. Directed by Mark Lamos, the cast also includes the previously announced Patrick Wilson as Brick, Dana Ivey as Big Mama, George Grizzard as Big Daddy and Side Show Tony nominee Emily Skinner as Sister Woman.

Mary Stuart Masterson has appeared on Broadway in Nine and Alice in Wonderland. Her many screen roles include "Lily Dale," "Bed of Roses," "Mad at the Moon," "Fried Green Tomatoes," "Married to It," "Immediate Family," "Chances Are," "Some Kind of Wonderful" and "My Little Girl."

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is located at 2700 F. Street, NW in Washington, D.C. Tickets for Cat on a Hot Tin Roof — part of the “Tennessee Williams Explored” celebration — are now on sale.
