The extremely well-reviewed revival of Larry Kramer's powerful play The Normal Heart officially opened at the Public Theater on April 21.

Originally produced in 1985, The Normal Heart is a searing portrayal of America's AIDS epidemic.

The Normal Heart is directed by David Esbjornson, with sets by Eugene Lee, costumes by Jess Goldstein, lights by Ken Billington, and sound by Tony Meola. As reported earlier by Playbill On-Line, producer Hal Luftig is leading a group of investors with aspirations of transfering the production to a commercial run.
