On May 19 the 2004 Tony Nominees Class Photo will be taken in Times Square. That will be followed by the Tony Nominees Luncheon on May 20. No press is allowed for the latter event, which allows fellow nominees to come together and salute each other as they receive their nomination certificates.
And, the big night is, of course, scheduled for Sunday, June 6 at 8 PM at Radio City Music Hall. Hugh Jackman will return as host for the 58th Annual Tony Awards. CBS will broadcast the three-hour event live.
In related news, the 2004 Tony Honors for Excellence will be decided, announced and presented in the fall. These nominations have traditionally been announced in May, but this year the Tony Honors will be announced some time after Labor Day. Tony Honors "are a tribute for theatre people and institutions who are not eligible for Tony Awards."
