It's not only recent Tony nominee Hunter Foster who will be leaving the company of Little Shop of Horrors next month.
Foster's co-star, Kerry Butler, who portrays the lovable but ditzy Audrey, will also soon depart the company of the Jerry Zaks-directed production. Foster is scheduled to play his final performance June 6, and, according to Butler's official website, the singer-actress will play her last show June 20. No replacement has been announced for Butler, although, as previously announced, 'N Sync's Joey Fatone will begin performances as down-on-his luck plant-shop-worker Seymour June 24.
The Little Shop company currently includes Kerry Butler as Audrey, Hunter Foster as Seymour, Rob Bartlett as Mushnik, Douglas Sills as Orin, Michael-Leon Wooley as the voice of Audrey II and DeQuina Moore, Trisha Jeffrey and Carla J. Hargrove as, respectively, Chiffon, Crystal and Ronnette.
Kerry Butler portrayed Penny Pingleton in the original Broadway cast of Hairspray, and her other Broadway credits include Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Eponine in Les Misérables and Ms. Jones in Blood Brothers. Off-Broadway she was seen in Bat Boy The Musical, The "I" Word, Prodigal and The Folsom Head.
Little Shop of Horrors plays the Virginia Theatre, located at 245 West 52nd Street.
