One-Acts by Tennessee Williams to Punctuate MTC's Fall 2004 Season

Tennessee Williams' poetic dialogue will echo at Manhattan Theatre Club's Stage II Off-Broadway this fall in a program called Four by Tenn.

Four one-acts by the playwright of The Glass Menagerie will be staged by director Michael Kahn beginning Oct. 19, a spokesman confirmed.

The foursome will include two New York premieres, And Tell Sad Stories of the Deaths of Queens and Escape. Kahn, artistic director of The Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, DC, recently staged a similar clutch of short plays by Williams under the umbrella title Five by Tenn at the Kennedy Center.

The one-acts that comprised Five by Tenn program in DC were I Can't Imagine Tomorrow, These Are Stairs You Got to Watch, And Tell Sad Stories of the Death of Queens. . ., The Municipal Abattoir and Escape.
