'N Sync's Joey Fatone Makes Early Appearance in Little Shop of Horrors

Joey Fatone

Joey Fatone, who was scheduled to join the Broadway company of Little Shop of Horrors June 24, will instead make his debut in the Howard Ashman-Alan Menken musical June 22.

A spokesperson for the musical confirmed that Fatone will begin his Little Shop run the same night Jessica-Snow Wilson begins her stint as the lovable, but ill-fated Audrey. Wilson replaces Kerry Butler, who left her role after the June 20 performance. Fatone, who plays down-on-his-luck Seymour, replaces Hunter Foster. The Tony-nominated Foster left the Little Shop cast June 6. Standby Jonathan Rayson has been playing Seymour since that time.

The Little Shop company currently includes Robert Evan as Orin, Michael-Leon Wooley as the voice of Audrey II and DeQuina Moore, Trisha Jeffrey and Carla J. Hargrove as, respectively, Chiffon, Crystal and Ronnette.

Joseph Anthony Fatone Jr. was born in Brooklyn, NY, in January 1977. The young singer worked at Universal Studios before joining the now world famous band 'N Sync, whose albums include "'N Sync," "The Winter Album," "Home for Christmas" and "No Strings Attached." He made his Broadway debut as Mark in the New York company of the Pulitzer and Tony Award winning musical Rent. Fatone's film credits include "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," "On the Line" and "Longshot."

Jessica-Snow Wilson has appeared on Broadway in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and Les Misérables as well as the City Center Encores! production of Hair. Off-Broadway the actress was seen in Zombie Prom, I Sing and Me and Juliet. Wilson's other theatrical credits include The Wizard of Oz, Grease, Baby and Stars in Your Eyes.

Little Shop of Horrors plays the Virginia Theatre, located at 245 West 52nd Street.
