Broadway Barks 6! — the annual adopt-a-thon created by pals Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore to find homes for pets from city animal shelters — will be held July 10 in Shubert Alley.

The yearly event, which also benefits local animal shelters and adoption agencies, will once again be hosted by its creators, Tony Award winner Peters and Emmy Award winner Moore. The event will also feature a host of celebrity guests, including Gary Beach, Natalie Venetia Belcon, Stephanie J. Block, Christy Carlson Romano, Mario Cantone, Patrick Cassidy, Michael Cerveris, Kristin Chenoweth, Deborah A. Cox, Veanne Cox, Paige Davis, Micky Dolenz, Beth Fowler, Jordan Gelber, Neil Patrick Harris, Shirley Jones, Sandra Joseph, Isabel Keating, Eartha Kitt, Swoosie Kurtz, Laura Linney, Audra McDonald, Idina Menzel, Michael Mulheren, Donna Murphy, Kathy Najimy, Denis O'Hare, Brad Oscar, Patrick Page, Hugh Panaro, Tonya Pinkins, Angie Schworer, Christopher Sieber, Eric Stoltz, John Tartaglia and Rachel York.

The day begins at 3:30 PM with an auction of celebrity-autographed memorabilia with celeb presentations of pets from animal shelters set for 5:30 PM. In the event of rain, Broadway Barks 6! will be held on July 24, also at 3:30 PM.

In a statement, co-founder Mary Tyler Moore said, "Bernadette and I feel particularly optimistic about finding homes for dogs and cats in our city. Broadway Barks joins forces under the Mayor's Alliance which fosters communication among all shelters and rescue organizations." Peters added, "Over 300 animals have been adopted through the Broadway Barks events, and we're hoping that through this new partnership with the Mayor's Alliance, we will be able to double that number."  Peters adopted both her dogs, Kramer and Stella, from city shelters.

Among the shelters and adoption agencies involved in this year's event are A Cause for Paws, ACC, Animal Haven, ASPCA, BARC Shelter, Bide-A-Wee, Bobby and the Strays, City Critters, The Humane Society of New York, Husky House, JRTCA Russell Rescue, Kitty Kind, Long Island Greyhound Transfer, Loving Touch, Manhattan Valley Cat Rescue, Metropolitan Maltese Rescue, Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League, New York Siamese Rescue, Northeastern Boxer Rescue, Pet-I-Care, PLUTO Rescue, SICAW, Stray from the Heart and The Tigger Foundation.

Additional auction merchandise will be available by logging on to www.BroadwayBarks.com. Proceeds from the auction and other donations benefit the aforementioned shelters and organizations. For more information call (212) 840-0770, ext. 477.

Shubert Alley is located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue.
