Members of the cast and creative team of the Broadway musical Caroline, or Change will appear at a CD signing and Q&A session 7 PM Aug. 2 at the Union Square Barnes & Noble in Manhattan.

Company members scheduled to participate in the discussion include playwright-librettist Tony Kushner, composer Jeanine Tesori, Tonya Pinkins (who plays Caroline Thibodeaux), Anika Noni Rose (2004 Tony Award winner for her role as Emmie Thibodeaux), Veanne Cox (Rose Stopnick Gellman), Chandra Wilson (Dotty Moffett), Chuck Cooper (The Dryer), Larry Keith (Mr. Stopnick) and Alice Playten (Grandma Gellman).

The Caroline, or Change original Broadway cast recording was released on June 29 by Hollywood Records.  The two-CD package features a total of 53 tracks and is produced by composer Jeanine Tesori, executive produced by Mitchell Leib, Glen Lajeski, and Billy Rosenfield and associate produced by Michael Rafter.

The new musical inspired by people in Kushner's early life concerns a black maid serving an emotionally-distressed Jewish family as she tries to navigate her own conflicted emotions in a 1963 America that is fast changing.

The musical began at The Public Theater Off-Broadway in fall 2003 and jumped to Broadway, where is snagged a handful of Tony nominations, winning for Best Featured Actress in a Musical). George C. Wolfe directs.

Performances continue at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre. For more information, visit www.carolineorchange.com.
