Aida Actress to Kick Off New Concert Series Aug. 30

Lori Ann Strunk, who is currently the understudy for Amneris in Disney's Aida, will be the first performer in the new "In the Wings" concert series.
The series, dedicated to up-and-coming stage performers, will kick off Aug. 30 at Fez Under Time Cafe. Directed by Jamie McGonnigal, Strunk will devote her evening to "performing works by and about the powerful women who have influenced her life." Concertgoers can expect to hear tunes from the worlds of rock, soul, pop and Broadway. Doors open at 9:30 PM.
Lori Ann Strunk is currently making her Broadway debut in the ensemble of Aida. She played Sandy in the national and European tours of Grease!, and her other theatrical credits include Bye, Bye, Birdie; Fame; and Oliver!
Fez Under Times Cafe is located in Manhattan at 380 Lafayette Street. Tickets, priced at $15, are available by calling (212) 533-7000.
