Off-Broadway's I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change Turns 9, Aug. 1

01 Aug 2004

Off-Broadway's long-running musical revue I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change will enter its ninth year at the Westside Theatre on Aug. 1.

Jordan Leeds, Janet Metz, Sandy Rustin, and Colin Stokes currently perform in the work directed by Joel Bishoff. James Hammerstein Productions, Bernie Kukoff and Jonathan Pollard produce.

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change features music by Jimmy Roberts with a book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro. The musical comedy that delves into the world of dating, love and marriage is also the longest-running musical revue in New York history, having broken the record set by Smokey Joe's Cafe.

The show's creators presented their second Off-Broadway offering, The Thing About Men, last summer at Off-Broadway's Promenade Theatre with Marc Kudisch, Ron Bohmer, Leah Hocking, Daniel Reichard and Jennifer Simard starring. DiPietro is also the bookwriter for the upcoming Broadway musical All Shook Up, featuring the music of Elvis Presley, which is set to begin previews at the Marquis Theatre Feb. 20, 2005 and open March 24.

I Love You, You're Perfect has enjoyed success throughout the world, having opened it 150 different cities including Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco, Toronto, London, Tel Aviv, Mexico City and Barcelona.

Tickets to I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change at The Westside Theatre, 407 West 43 Street (between Ninth and Tenth Ave.) can be purchased by calling (212) 239-6200. For more information, visit www.loveperfectchange.com.
