Jennifer Westfeldt, who was Tony-nominated for her performance as Eileen Sherwood in the current revival of Wonderful Town, has signed a deal with ABC-TV.

Variety reports that the actress — best known for her "Kissing Jessica Stein" film — will star in a 60-minute project for the network. Westfeldt will pen the drama with her sister Amy; the drama will be based on Amy Westfeldt's experiences as a New York reporter. The as-of-yet-untitled project is being produced by Touchstone TV and Shady Acres Entertainment.

Jennifer Westfeldt is currently making her Broadway debut as Eileen Sherwood in the revival of Wonderful Town at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. She also co-wrote, produced and played the title role in the aforementioned indie hit "Kissing Jessica Stein." Her theatrical credits include The Fantasticks, Peter Pan, Sweeney Todd, Arms and the Man, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Carousel, My Fair Lady and Fiorello!.

Wonderful Town plays the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, 302 West 45th Street.
