New Romantic Musical A Hundred Years Into the Heart Plays New York Musical Fest Sept. 14-Oct. 3

A Hundred Years Into the Heart, a romantic new musical about fate, chance and love, plays Sept. 14- Oct. 3 as part of The New York Musical Theatre Festival.

The question at the heart of the musical by Pulitzer Prize nominee Richard Vetere (book), Jeffrey Lodin (music) and William Squier (lyrics) is this: Are our lives decided by fate or by the choices we make?

Inspired by a real event that happened in Queens, the show begins when a baby falls from a sixth floor window, only to be saved by a boy below. "This leads to a chain of events that plays out 30 years later when they both fall in love with the same woman," according to the creators. "Their story is told by an Italian-American restaurant owner with a secret that may change [the] outcome."

Brett A. Bernardini directs a cast that includes Mark Lotito (Fiddler on the Roof), Barbara Marineau, Charma Bonanno, David Bonanno and Jonathan Todd Ross.

A Hundred Years Into the Heart is presented by Angella's Partners, Ltd. and Yarra Capital Entertainment in association with the Spirit of Broadway Theatre.

Performances play Primary Stages' West 45th Street Theater, 354 W. 45th Street Sept. 14 at 8 PM; Sept. 17 at 5 PM; Sept. 18 at 8 PM; Sept. 19 at 8 PM; Sept. 23 at 6 PM; Sept. 26 at 4:30 PM; Sept. 28 at 6 PM; Sept. 29 at 5 PM; Oct. 2 at 4:30 PM; and Oct. 3 at 8 PM.
