| Adam Pascal and Daphne Rubin-Vega |
The former Renters will offer a concert at Kean University's Wilkins Theatre Oct. 10. The singers will perform both solos and duets; show time is 7:30 PM.
Adam Pascal was part of the final cast of Aida, playing the role he created several years ago, the ill-fated Radames. He also portrayed the Emcee in the now-closed revival of Cabaret. Pascal made his theatrical debut as Roger in the original cast of Jonathan Larson's Rent; for that performance, he received Theatre World and Obie awards as well as Tony and Drama Desk nominations. Pascal was also a co-producer of the hit Off-Broadway play Fully Committed. His solo albums include "Model Prisoner" and the forthcoming "Civilian," both on the Sh-K-Boom label.
Daphne Rubin-Vega was most recently on Broadway in the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Anna in the Tropics, earning a Tony Award nomination for her performance. She was also Tony-nominated for her role as Mimi in the original company of Rent. Rubin-Vega appeared in Broadway's The Rocky Horror Show, and her Off-Broadway credits include Fucking A, Gum and Two Sisters and a Piano. On screen she has been seen in "Wild Things," "Flawless" and "Skeleton Woman." Her latest recording, "Rocket Man," is available from Emerge Records.
