Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, the musical adpatation of the popular 1988 film, is receiving its world premeire production at San Diego's Old Globe before heading to Broadway.

Starring John Lithgow (The Sweet Smell of Success) and Norbert Leo Butz (Wicked), the production is being directed by multiple Tony-winner (Hairspray, The Full Monty) and Old Globe artistic director Jack O'Brien, with a score by David Yazbek (The Full Monty) and book by Jeffrey Lane.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels officially opens in San Diego on Sept. 22 and is scheduled to begin previews Jan. 31, 2005, for an opening March 3, at Broadway's Imperial Theatre.
