Chitty's Michael Ball to Release DVD and CD

West End stage star Michael Ball, most recently on the London stage in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, will release a two-CD compilation set and a new DVD within the next month's time.



The DVD, which was recorded live at Hammersmith, is titled "Michael Ball: Live in London" and features 27 songs performed by the star of Les Misérables and Aspects of Love. Due in London stores Nov. 8, song titles include "Love Changes Everything," "Boy from Nowhere" and "Just Help Yourself." The DVD also includes an interview with the singer-actor.

"Love Changes Everything: The Essential Michael Ball" is the title of the two-CD set, which features nearly 40 songs. There is also a previously unreleased track of Ball singing "Why Haven't I Heard From You." Other songs include "Can You Feel the Love Tonight," "The Phantom of the Opera," "Music of the Night," "Sunset Boulevard," "I Dreamed a Dream," "Walking in Memphis," "My Heart Will Go On," "Cry Me a River," "Send in the Clowns," "What Love Is For" and "The Rose." "The Essential Michael Ball" is set for an Oct. 25 release in the U.K.

Michael Ball made his Broadway debut as Alex in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Aspects of Love, a role he created on the London stage. His other London stage credits include The Pirates of Penzance, Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, Passion and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Ball's numerous, best-selling solo recordings include "Centre Stage," "Christmas," "Live at the Royal Albert Hall," "The Movies," "The Musicals," "First Love," "Always" and "Michael Ball."
