New York favorite John Cullum returns to the stage in the title character of Sin: A Cardinal Deposed.

The play, a production of The New Group, deals with the real life deposition of Boston Cardinal Bernard Law on child molestation charges and opened on Oct. 26 at the Harold Clurman Theatre on Theatre Row in Manhattan.

At left is actor Pablo Schreiber, with Scott Elliott. Below, Cullum, Cynthia Darlow and playwright Michael Murphy are seen at the opening night party hosted by the West Bank Cafe.

Sin: A Cardinal Deposed is directed by Carl Forsman and is scheduled to run through Dec. 4.
