Oct. 30 wasn't just the day before Halloween in Manhattan this year as "Wicked Day" presented festivites to celebrate the hit musical Wicked's one year anniversary on Broadway.
The main event of the day was the song contest in which lucky fans of the show performed in front of a celebrity panel that included, among others, director Joe Mantello and actress Shoshana Bean.
At left, composer-lyricist Stephen Schwartz greets one of many fans who dressed up in Wicked themed costumes to attend the event, held outside the musical's home at the Gershwin Theatre on West 51st Street. Also, castmember and Emcee Marty Thomas is seen with judge Megan Hilty.
