The New School University is currently presenting the world premiere of Sam Shepard's new play God of Hell in Greenwich Village.

The play, which stars Frank Wood, Randy Quaid, Tim Roth and J. Smith-Cameron, tracks a midwestern farm couple as they are visited by a somewhat facist acting government official. Pulitzer Prize winner (Buried Child) Shepard wrote the play last summer, intending for the work to receive a production in New York before the recent presidential election.

God of Hell is directed by Lou Jacob and is playing at the former Westbeth Theatre Center.
