"House," a new medical drama co-starring Tony Award winner Robert Sean Leonard, makes its television debut Nov. 16 on FOX-TV.

The series, which stars Hugh Laurie as Dr. Gregory House, is set to air on the FOX network at 9 PM ET. Leonard co-stars as House's good friend, oncology specialist Dr. James Wilson. The cast also features Omar Epps as Dr. Eric Foreman, Jennifer Morrison as Dr. Allison Cameron and Jesse Spencer as Dr. Robert Chase.

Dr. Gregory House, according to production notes, is a physician devoid of bedside manner, who "wouldn't even talk to his patients if he could get away with it. Dealing with his own constant physical pain, he uses a cane that seems to punctuate his acerbic, brutally honest demeanor. While his behavior can border on antisocial, House is a maverick physician whose unconventional thinking and flawless instincts have afforded him a great deal of respect. An infectious disease specialist, he's a brilliant diagnostician who loves the challenges of the medical puzzles he must solve in order to save lives. House's roster of medical cases are the inexplicable ones other doctors can't solve, and he has assembled an elite team of young medical experts to help him in his effort to solve these diagnostic mysteries."

"House" is from Heel and Toe Films and Bad Hat Harry Productions in association with NBC Universal Television Studio. The executive producers are Paul Attanasio, Katie Jacobs, David Shore and Bryan Singer.

Robert Sean Leonard was most recently on Broadway in Richard Greenberg's The Violet Hour. He won a Tony Award for his performance in The Invention of Love and received nominations for his work in Long Day's Journey Into Night and Candida. Leonard's other Broadway credits include The Music Man; The Iceman Cometh; Arcadia; Philadelphia, Here I Come!; The Speed of Darkness; Breaking the Code; and Brighton Beach Memoirs. His screen credits include "Dead Poets Society," "Mr. & Mrs. Bridge," "Married to It," "Swing Kids," "Much Ado About Nothing," "The Age of Innocence," "In the Gloaming," "The Last Days of Disco," "Tape," "Driven" and "Chelsea Walls."
