Ben Vereen to Appear at Tilles Center in Long Island Dec. 3

Broadway musical actor Ben Vereen will perform Dec. 3 at the Tilles Center on Long Island.

Vereen's act is two-fold. The first part of the evening will see the singer and actor looking back on his Broadway career. The second act, meanwhile, is a tribute to Sammy Davis, Jr.

Vereen, part of the all-star Pippin concert in New York City Nov. 29, is currently in talks to join the cast of Broadway's Wicked. He made his Broadway debut in Jesus Christ Superstar, earning a Tony Award nomination for his performance. He nabbed the Tony for his work in Bob Fosse's production of Pippin and has also starred on Broadway in Grind, Jelly's Last Jam and Fosse. The recent revival of I'm Not Rappaport marked Vereen's non-musical Broadway debut.
