Pacific Overtures' Leung to Sing at Splash; Debut Recording in the Works

Telly Leung, who is currently appearing in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Pacific Overtures, will premiere two original songs from his upcoming EP at Splash.

Leung is scheduled to perform at Splash Jan. 17 at 11 PM, part of the dance club's Music Theatre Mondays program. He will be joined by back-up singers Kim Varhola and Yuka Takara, who are also part of the Pacific Overtures company.

Leung composed the songs with his writing partner Randy Witherspoon. His forthcoming EP is titled "Getaway" and includes seven tracks: "Getaway," "Ain't Whatcha Do," "Carolina Sweet Tea," "Too Late," "Not This Time," "Yummy" and "Inspiration." For more information visit Click Here.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Telly Leung made his Broadway debut in the revival of Flower Drum Song. His other theatrical credits include Zanna, Don't!; The King and I (with Lou Diamond Phillips); Jesus Christ Superstar; and Children of Eden. Pacific Overtures is playing Studio 54 through Jan. 30.

Splash Bar is located in Manhattan at 50 West 17th Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues. There is no cover charge.
