John Lithgow and Norbert Leo Butz are preparing to return to Broadway as the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels of a new musical written by David Yazbeck and Jeffrey Lane.

Playing the roles occupied by Steve Martin and Michael Caine in a film of the same name, Lithgow and Butz are constantly at odds as con-men with different styles who each want to win the biggest slice of the pie in the French Riveria.

At left, cast member Sara Gettelfinger is seen with Lithgow, while co-stars Gregory Jbara and Joanna Gleason take a break from rehearsal. Below, Butz and Lithgow provide a glimpse of the nearly finished product at the show's rehearsal studio on West 42nd Street in New York City.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is directed by Jack O'Brien and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell. The production is scheduled to begin previews at the Imperial Theatre on Jan. 31, with an opening night on March 3.
