Billy Porter's "Broadway and Soul" CD Now On Sale; Track List Announced

Billy Porter, who recently began previews at Joe's Pub in his new one-man show, Ghetto Superstar, can be heard on a new solo CD.
The Sh-K-Boom Records release, entitled "At the Corner of Broadway and Soul — Live at Joe's Pub," features a mix of Broadway, gospel and original R&B songs. The single CD, priced at $20, is currently available by visiting the Sh-K-Boom website at www.sh-k-boom.com. Those attending Porter's Superstar evening can also purchase the disc at Joe's Pub.

Billy Porter was seen in the Public Theater's productions of Merchant of Venice and King Lear. His Broadway credits include Grease!, Miss Saigon, Five Guys Named Moe, Smokey Joe's Cafe and the Dreamgirls Actors' Fund benefit. Regionally, Porter has appeared in Angels in America and Going Native, and his screen credits include "Broken Hearts Club," "Shake Rattle & Roll" and "The Intern."
