Luba Mason, recent star of the Reprise! production of Pippin and the musical extravaganza, The Ten Commandments in Los Angeles, sings an evening of soulful songs from her debut album "Collage" Thursdays to March 10 in West Hollywood.
Mason's selections for the evening, drawn from her CD, include Richard and Robert Sherman's "Don't Shoot the Hooey To Me, Louie" from the Broadway musical Over Here!, a new Spanish lyric to Bacharach and David's "Look of Love" and the traditional folk ballad "Motherland." Also expect songs by modern composers such as Van Morrison's "Moondance," Lou Reed and Ruben Blades' "The Calm Before The Storm", Johnny Nash's "I Can See Clearly Now" and Tom Waits' "Take Me Home."
