PHOTO CALL: NEA Honored Playwright Brings a Touch of The Female Heart to NYC

Playwright Linda Faigao-Hall's play The Female Heart, a glimpse into the struggles of life in the Philippines, opened Off-Broadway on Feb. 26.

The world premiere is presented by DiverseCity Theater, in association with Ensemble Studio Theatre. The Female Heart explores "the desperate choices two siblings make to escape life in the infamous garbage dump community of the Philippiness Smokey Mountain."
