On Golden Pond Stars Rise Early for "Weekend Today" Appearance March 27

Leslie Uggams and James Earl Jones, currently starring in On Golden Pond on Broadway, will appear on NBC's "Weekend Today" show between 8-9 AM March 27.

The revival of Ernest Thompson's warm comedy play about generational tensions within a family, as retirees celebrate their final summer at their beloved Maine vacation home, plays the Cort Theatre.

The Leonard Foglia-directed staging marks Jones' return to Broadway after more than 15 years. He won a Tony Award for August Wilson's Fences . Tony Award winner Leslie Uggams (Hallelujah, Baby! ) recently appeared in Broadway's Thoroughly Modern Millie.

Opening night is April 7.
