Second Stage Theatre world premiere presentation of Paul Weitz's Privilege starring comedian-actor Bob Saget has added four performances Off-Broadway through May 18.

Peter Askin directs the new work which began April 5 and opened April 25 for a run originally slated through May 15. The extension is "due to overwhelming ticket demand," but will not extend further "due to actor conflict," according to a release.

Set in 1987's Manhattan — when names like Ivan Boesky and Michael Milken were making headlines with white-collar crime — Privilege follows two privileged Upper East Side teenagers whose lives are changed when their father is accused of insider trading.

Saget, known for his role on the sitcom "Full House" and as host of "America's Funniest Home Videos," has also been seen on "The Larry Sanders Show," "Saturday Night Live" as well as appearances on "The Late Show with David Letterman," "The Tonight Show” and HBO's "Comic Relief."

Joining Saget in the cast of Privilege will be Conor Donovan (the recent revival of Our Town) and Harry Zittel ("As The World Turns") as the two boys, Carolyn McCormick (Eve-olution, Private Lives, "Law & Order") as their socialite mother and Florencia Lozano (LAByrinth Theatre Company member seen in Last Easter) as the housekeeper.

The design team will feature Thomas Lynch (scenic), Jeff Mahfie (costume), Jeff Croiter (lighting) and Lewis Flinn (sound).

Weitz's last play, Roulette, performed Off-Broadway with Anna Paquin, Larry Bryggman, Ana Gasteyer and Shawn Hatosy. Other plays include Mango Tea (which starred Marisa Tomei and Rob Morrow), Captive and All for One — all produced at the Ensemble Studio Theatre. He also co-wrote the screenplay to the films "Antz," "Nutty Professor 2" and "About a Boy" with his brother Chris Weitz (who shared directing credit with him on the latter). As a director, his credits feature "American Pie" and his own screenplay for "In Good Company."

Askin last staged Jonathan Reynolds' Dinner with Demons for Second Stage. His other directorial credits include Hedwig and the Angry Inch, The Good Body, Trumbo, John Leguizamo's Sexaholix, Spic-O-Rama and Mambo Mouth as well as Dael Orlandersmith's Monster, Beauty's Daughter and The Gimmick.

Tickets to Privilege at Second Stage, 307 West 43rd Street (just off 8th Ave.) are on sale at the box office and by phone at (212) 246-4422 or (800) 766-6048. For more information, visit www.SecondStageTheatre.com.
