Cumming, Redgrave, Burton and Mitchell to Announce Tony Nominations

Four Broadway favorites will announce the 2005 Tony Award nominations Tuesday, May 10.

Alan Cumming, Lynn Redgrave, Kate Burton and Brian Stokes Mitchell will read the list of Tony nominees at 8:30 AM at the Marriott Marquis Hotel. TonyAwards.com will feature live audio feed of the announcement at that time.

Playbill.com will also post the complete list of Tony Award nominees.

Alan Cumming won a Tony Award for his work in the Roundabout's revival of Cabaret. Lynn Redgrave was Tony-nominated for her performances in Mrs. Warren's Profession and Shakespeare for My Father. Brian Stokes Mitchell won a Tony Award for his work in the revival of Kiss Me, Kate and was also nominated for Man of La Mancha, Ragtime and King Hedley II. Kate Burton received two Tony nomination in 2002, for Hedda Gabler and The Elephant Man.

The Antoinette Perry "Tony" Award is bestowed annually for distinguished achievement. The 2005 Tony Awards will once again be held at Radio City Music Hall and will be broadcast by CBS from 8 to 11 PM. Sunday, June 5 is the date. Tony Award winner Hugh Jackman will return as host.
