"Falcon Crest" Stars Set for Los Angeles Premiere of Honour

Robert Foxworth and Susan Sullivan, who played married couple Chase and Maggie Gioberti on the long-running "Falcon Crest" series, will star in the Los Angeles premiere of Honour.
Joanna Murray-Smith's play will be presented at the Matrix Theatre in West Hollywood. Directed by Andrew J. Robinson, previews will begin Aug. 18 with an official opening Aug. 27. The limited engagement will play through Nov. 6.
Honour, according to production notes, "explores what happens when a marriage of 32 years is derailed by a young and seductive female journalist who enters the lives of Honor and her husband Gus (Sullivan and Foxworth). Is marriage meant to last? Is it right to sacrifice your individuality for the good of a relationship? Is fidelity natural? How does one survive suddenly being thrust out of a long-term relationship?"
Robert Foxworth created the role of Gus in the original Broadway production of Honour, which played the Belasco Theatre April 2, 1998-June 14, 1988. The cast also included Jane Alexander, Laura Linney and Enid Graham.
The creative team for the Matrix Theatre production comprises Stephanie Kerley Schwartz (set design), J. Kent Inasy (lighting design) and Michele K. Short (costume design).
A two-time Emmy nominee, Susan Sullivan played Maggie on "Falcon Crest" and Kitty Montgomery on "Dharma and Greg." On Broadway she was seen in Jimmy Shine and The Beauty Part, and her film credits include "My Best Friend's Wedding" and "Show and Tell."
Robert Foxworth was on Broadway this past season in Twelve Angry Men. His other Broadway credits include Judgment at Nuremberg, Ivanov, Candida, Love Letters, The Crucible and King Henry V. Among his numerous screen credits are roles in "Storefront Lawyers," "Falcon Crest," "Late Line," "Six Feet Under" and "Law and Order."
